Fuori Infiorata: In Noto, Art Blooms for Peace

Fuori Infiorata: In Noto, Art Blooms for Peace

Noto is preparing to host the first edition of Fuori Infiorata, a widespread event that blends contemporary art, local identity, and community participation. The baroque city will become an urban garden, where installations, performances, talks, and workshops will animate iconic locations in the historic center and beyond. The chosen theme — Peace Becomes Art. The Infiorata that Unites, Hope Beyond Borders — invites us to rethink public space as a place of shared beauty and dialogue.

Among the featured artists, Michelangelo Pistoletto brings his Colomba della Pace (Dove of Peace) to Noto, a symbolic work that merges signs of harmony and coexistence. The floral installation, crafted by the masters of the CulturArte Association, will be displayed in Largo Rattazzi, which will be renamed for the occasion as Peace and Solidarity Square.

Other artists enrich the event with site-specific works: Fulvio Merolli (La Fenice), Alessia Forconi (Penelope), and Filippo Tincolini (Spaceman Shine). Each piece interacts with the city's identity, turning Noto into an open-air exhibition.

Fuori Infiorata is also a collective project designed to connect community, art, and nature. The schedule includes creative workshops, participatory performances, and public activities like Bici in Fiore, a group ride exploring art and landscape. The event is supported by both local and international partners, including the IILA – Italian-Latin American International Organization.
