On Sunday, September 20, 2026, Noto will host the first edition of Nero Barocco – Noto Wine Fest, an event dedicated to the wines and wineries of the Val di Noto. From 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the Loggia del Mercato, in the heart of Noto’s historic centre, will welcome over 30 wineries, tasting stands, local food products and music.

The event is designed for anyone who wants to discover the wine heritage of south-eastern Sicily, meet local producers and taste some of the area’s most representative wines, from Nero d’Avola to Moscato di Noto DOC and Eloro DOC wines.

When is Nero Barocco – Noto Wine Fest 2026?

Nero Barocco – Noto Wine Fest will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Loggia del Mercato in Noto, in the province of Syracuse.

For one evening, one of the most distinctive locations in Noto’s historic centre will become a large tasting area dedicated to the wines of the Val di Noto.

The format combines wine tasting with direct contact with the people who produce the wines. Each winery will have its own tasting stand, allowing visitors to choose which labels to discover and learn more about their characteristics, grape varieties and areas of origin.

Over 30 Val di Noto wineries in Noto’s historic centre

The main attraction of the Noto Wine Fest will be the presence of over 30 wineries from the Val di Noto.

It will be an opportunity to take a journey through the wine culture of south-eastern Sicily without leaving the centre of Noto.

Among the key wines featured will be Nero d’Avola, one of Sicily’s most iconic grape varieties, Moscato di Noto DOC and wines produced under the Eloro DOC designation.

The festival aims to highlight not only the wines themselves, but also the people and places behind every bottle: producers, farms and wineries that help define the wine identity of the Val di Noto.

How does the wine tasting work?

A dedicated wine tasting kit is available for visitors who want to take part in the tastings.

The ticket includes a tasting glass, a glass holder and 5 tastings of your choice from the participating winery stands.

Once the included tastings have been used, additional tastings can be purchased directly at the event.

Admission to the festival is free: a ticket is required only for those who wish to take part in the wine tastings.

How much does the Noto Wine Fest ticket cost?

Advance sales start with a special price of €15 for the first 100 tickets, plus booking fees.

After the first 100 tickets have been sold, the tasting kit will cost €20, plus booking fees.

The ticket includes a tasting glass, glass holder and five wine tastings.

Wine, local products and music

Nero Barocco aims to showcase the Val di Noto through different expressions of the local area.

Alongside the wines, visitors will also find local food and typical products, creating an experience that brings together wine production, Sicilian cuisine and local identity.

Music will accompany the evening, turning the tasting event into an opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere while moving between the stands inside the Loggia del Mercato.

Where does the Noto Wine Fest take place?

The festival will be held at the Loggia del Mercato Villadorata in Noto, in the heart of the historic centre, next to Piazza XVI Maggio and close to Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

Its central location makes it easy to combine the festival with a walk through Noto’s historic centre, surrounded by the Baroque architecture that has made the city one of the best-known destinations in the Val di Noto and part of the UNESCO-listed Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto.

The setting therefore becomes an integral part of the experience: local wine and Baroque architecture come together in one of the city’s most distinctive locations.

Why visit the Noto Wine Fest 2026?

For wine lovers, Nero Barocco offers the opportunity to discover and compare numerous Val di Noto wineries in a single evening, moving freely from one tasting stand to another.

It is also an opportunity to meet producers directly, discover new labels and learn more about the relationship between grape varieties, wine denominations and the local terroir.

For travellers spending a weekend or holiday in Noto, the festival also offers a chance to add an authentic food and wine experience to a visit to the city.
