Raw Sicily celebrates the end of summer season with art, music and community

AVOLA ANTICA (SR) — On Sunday, September 13, Raw Sicily reopens its garden for one last great collective meeting: "The End of Season Embrace", an event that encapsulates the essence of the association's project and the values of sharing, creativity and regeneration that distinguish it.

Starting from 5:30 PM until late evening, Raw Sicily's spaces will transform into a place of community celebration, featuring visual arts, live musical performances, authentic cuisine and cocktails prepared at the moment.

THE EVENT

The event represents the concluding moment of an intense season representative of Raw Sicily's mission: to bring together people, artists and creators around a shared vision of culture, sustainability and collective wellbeing.

"We want to close the season in the way that comes most naturally to us: gathering in the garden, joining forces and celebrating life together with our big family," say the organizers.

PROGRAM

ART

The garden will host the works of Salvo Muscarà, an artist whose sensitivity captures the most intimate and poetic views of Sicilian territory.

MUSIC

Mirko Fanciullo — Vinyl digger and connoisseur of world music, will open and close the evening with an approach that favors conscious listening and empathy with the audience.

6:30 PM — Curamunì — Musical project that explores the roots of Sicilian tradition, with a sonic proposal that blends ritual and ancestral medicine.

8:30 PM — Cumpachewey — Ensemble that interprets travel as encounter and contamination, with an overwhelming repertoire of cumbia, reggae and rumba.

IN THE KITCHEN

Zia 'nZina and Franca will have free rein in menu preparation. The two cooks will bring to the table a traditional "spizzuliu" with zeppole, potato fritters, muddiata and creations of the moment's inspiration.

AT THE BAR

Avishai will prepare special botanical cocktails, made with aromatic herbs grown on Raw Sicily's land.
