The Baroque Parade of Noto returns this year to captivate both locals and visitors with its evocative atmosphere and one of the most spectacular historical reenactments in Sicily. The event is scheduled for Monday, May 19, 2025, during the week of the Infiorata di Noto.
What is the Baroque Parade?
The Baroque Parade is a historical costume procession—an impressive event that celebrates the noble and theatrical past of Noto, the capital of Sicilian Baroque. Nobles, ladies, knights, musicians, and flag throwers parade through the historic center, bringing to life the elegance, music, and colors of the 17th and 18th centuries.
An Event Within the Event
The Parade is part of the Infiorata di Noto, the renowned flower festival that each year transforms Via Nicolaci into a fleeting work of floral art. The Baroque Parade takes place during the heart of the festivities, enhancing the immersive experience for all visitors.
The Parade Route
The procession typically begins at Piazza Municipio, in front of Palazzo Ducezio, and winds its way through the main streets of the Baroque city, including Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The participants—members of historical reenactment groups and folk associations—wear finely detailed costumes faithful to the styles of the time.
